Saturday, catching up on the week

Thursday night I had this migraine aura, thank god without headache. But still visual hallucinations that come out of nowhere and grow from a small spec to completely covering up one's vision and is there weather one closes their eyes or not and then is gone in a half hour...Sucks. Here's my drawing of what it kind of looks like, except it is flashing and the lines are all moving.

I had some fun tonight taking these pics out of my window and then playing with them in photoshop, they seem kind of erie to me, plus I am a huge fan of their abstractness
I'm short one artwork but will make it tomorrow

Some drawings to catch up

An amazing yellow and orange pond lilly I saw when kayaking

A flower doodle
Hey, now I'm all caught up with artworks for days, until tomorrow at least...feels good though to be back making some artwork, capturing beauty is like holding life in one's palms - it feels like magic

The last 40 days, In which I was reborn

Apparently, a 40 day-stretch has much significance.  It rained for 40 days and 40 nights, and after 40 days, Noah opened a window to the new world. Spies roamed Israel for 40 days.  Goliath challenged the Israelites twice a day for forty days before David defeated him.  Moses spent 40 days at Mount Sinai and returned with the 10 commandments.  Jesus spent 40 days in the desert with the devil. The Egyptian embalming ritual took 40 days in order for the preparation of the soul to enter the afterlife.  And it took Waillin' Jennings 40 days to record and refine his album, 40 days.  I can't help but think my 40 day absence from my blog must have some significance.
Actually, it is more likely that I was just WAY too busy with school and work to keep up with the blog and daily art-making rather than my absence being an all-meaningful religious symbol, but the profoundly deep spiritual meaning sounds cooler...I mean woah! Am I the next Moses? Did my soul transfer from one reality to another?
Come to think of it, it kind of did.  In the 40 days I was gone, I learned that I REALLY, REALLY like studying psychology and are even more convinced than ever that art therapy is a choice career move.  I also learned that I am no longer a slacker student, but instead a total nerd!

Despite all this, I feel wracked with guilt for the 40 days I missed.  Therefore, I plan to make it up.  I already have some works that I did during the time but was unable to post, so I'm posting those now.

So here it is my countdown to 40 days of art work, starting with the first 12.
